Wilmette is a suburb north of Chicago. What could they do? Cluck, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty?" with little cans of cat food in their palms? They didn't have the proper equipment. There was a 150-pound, six-foot-fence-leaping cougar loose in the neighborhood. Which is home to an elementary school. And a <a>really awesome wine store</a>. Think of all the bottles and children that could've been destroyed. If anyone had been killed, then everyone would be bitching about how the cops didn't shoot the cougar when they had the chance. Lose/lose. It's sucky thing that happened, to be sure. Poor random cougar. It's a shame the police didn't have any tranquilizer guns. Actually, he was killed in Chicago (in Roscoe Village.)
