…and we’re done!
May 22nd, 2008 . by mattKiki May 2008 was an amazing success. Thank you all for being there. Saturday night’s show was the saddest I’ve been on stage since… Dock Street, 2005. I know that we’ll work with Cary Ann, Bill, Nathan, Stephanie, Danielle, etc. again, but I don’t know when, and it makes me miss them already.
But… onwards and upwards! only loose ends and packing left.
Um, just to warn you… I believe Amanda said you were moving to Chicago, and I just thought of the story you told me about moving to Boston during the worst winter in thirty years during the interview for the Book That Never Was. I don’t know about Illinois, but I moved to Iowa in time for the Worst Winter That Ever Was last year, and they’re saying it could be more of the same. Pack your snowboots. In better news, the summer is expected to be incredibly mild.
Awww, this does makes me sad…sad that I missed it. Good luck! (hearts)
believe me, hon, you are not alone in comparing last saturday night to dock street ‘05! there were tears in the peanut gallery. cheers to old friends and onwards and upwards!
I totally read the last line as “loose end and parking tickets.” Which shows you where my brain is.
I think he got a parking ticket recently, Shomo, so you aren’t too far off. Ha ha.
I really, really loved the show. Everyone did. The cast and crew of Cabaret Kiki should all be very proud of themselves. Bravo! I can’t wait to see the show evolve.
Chicago’s cold in the winter? Really? I’ve never heard that before. Is this a common assumption? Interesting. Matt, don’t let this cold business scare you off. If it gets cold here (which I highly doubt), I’ll keep you warm!
Shomo and Lindsay Jean: thank you for reminding me to pay that stinking parking ticket!
Lindsay Jean: are you flirting with me? If so, don’t ever stop!
You’re VERY perceptive.
