So Many Great Tastes
July 18th, 2008 . by mattDamn it. This is so great. Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, the gorgeous red-haired slayer from Buffy Season 7, and three Whedons, including Joss. Why is it so great? It’s an indie-film project created during the Writers Strike of ‘08. Also, it’s about superheroes. Also, it’s a musical. And, Neil Patrick Harris and Joss Whedon. It’s like Matt’s Über-Nerdy Dream Collaboration. It’s like Joss called me up personally and said, “Matt, what would you like for me to work on next? And who should I cast?”
If you go to the site before Saturday night, you can see all three parts for free, but after that you have to buy them on iTunes.
Wow. So retro.

No, Really. I’m 35. Swear to God.
July 8th, 2008 . by mattI was just talking to my friend Ward about similar situations yesterday (the latter half of the comic, not the part about having trouble with a girlfriend). I also wrote my Mom the other day thanking her for her “good genes”. This webcomic, Questionable Content, is a guilty pleasure of mine. Mostly a somewhat silly indie rock soap opera, it can be pretty fun. And today, it makes me feel OK about actually remembering when Star Wars (”episode four”, the youngsters call it now) was in the theaters.
